The Spectreproject comprises the anonymous, untraceable and secure cryptocurrency Spectrecoin [XSPEC] and a mobile platform for small remittance, currently being developed. This will be known as Spectre.Cash and will be available for Android at the outset.
We believe that the privacy of an individual is an absolute right and our Philosophy is one of ‘Zero Knowledge’ and anonymity and we aim to provide the world with the best anonymous cryptocurrency and the means to transfer cash around the globe anonymously.
XSPEC is an anonymous, untraceable and un-linkeable, energy efficient, Proof-of-Stake v3 cryptocurrency with an advanced hierarchical deterministic wallet (HD wallet). The whole network is also running under Tor and our software has Tor integrated so you don’t need to worry about whether you are protected or not.
You will find links to more detailed information on all aspects of The Spectreproject on the left. Spectrecoin is the most secure and anonymous cryptocurrency on the market today; we provide greater anonymity than both Monero and Zcash.
20,000,000 XSPEC was created in a 'genesis transaction' and 95% of the XSPEC supply was sold to investors in late 2016. The investment will help to fully develop The Spectrecoin Alternative Remittance System and also adapt and develop Spectrecoin to be the best anonymous cryptocurrency in the market.
You can now only obtain XSPEC through the listed exchanges.
DO NOT SETTLE FOR ANYTHING LESS THAN TOTAL ANONYMITY!
The transactions on the XSPEC network are made private, anonymous and untraceable using the latest cryptography techniques such as Dual Key Stealth Addresses, Ring Signatures, Zero Knowledge proofs and Tor. This renders the network and XSPEC currency ultra-secure and private and makes it very unlikely that anyone would be able to mount a successful attack or be able to identify a user.
The XSPEC wallet has an ultra-secure, end-2-end encrypted chat function. All messages are encrypted by the well know and secure AES-256-CBC algorithm. The messages are dispersed between nodes to prevent any attacker from deducing the intended recipients, even if applying sophisticated statistical traffic analysis or even if the attacker can view the entire network or run nodes of the network.
XSPEC has an advanced Hierarchical Deterministic (HD) multi feature wallet. The wallet can easily carry out everyday tasks but there are a multitude of advanced features. The wallet also has an HTML interface making it possible to offer detailed in wallet setting. It also makes it possible to expand the wallet by adding new functionality in new tabs, much like a website.
XSPEC employs Proof-of-Stake (PoSv3) w/ static inflation of 5% annually. This is a fair and secure way to maintain consensus and to reward users who keep their wallets open. PoSv3 is an energy efficient consensus mechanism without large data centers as is the case with Bitcoin. Everyone has an equal chance of getting a reward based only on the amount of XSPEC you hold and not “coin age”.
XSPEC has a native Tor integration with the whole of the Tor protocol embedded in the code base. Tor is a free software that stops people from learning your location from your IP address and your browsing habits by letting you communicate with others anonymously over the Internet. The whole of the XSPEC network is running under Tor and this makes XSPEC the best choice for privacy and anonymity.
How do XSPEC compare
XSPEC is based on the code base from Shadowcash w/ some important modifications and additions. This has been chosen as it allows very strong privacy and anonymity combined with a HTML wallet that will allow expansion of functions and integration of the Spectre.Cash remittance network. The above is an illustration of the similarities and differences between some well known cryptocurrencies. In addition to having a full set of anonymity features XSPEC has the advantage of having all this in place from day one. Nobody will be compromised.
XSPEC is the cryptocurrency with the best anonymity. The worst in terms of anonymity from this selction are Bitcoin and DASH.
PoSv3 vs. PoW
PoSv3 stands for 'Proof-of-Stake version 3'. This was originally developed for Blackcoin and was later incorporated into Shadowcash and then Spectrecoin. Proof-of-stake is a method by which a cryptocurrency blockchain network aims to achieve distributed consensus. Proof-of-Stake requires users to prove ownership of a certain amount of currency (their "stake" in the currency). It is more energy efficient than the Proof-of-Work that provides consensus for Bitcoin, DASH and Zcash which requires enormous amounts of energy and large data centres to run. This tends to make Bitcoin, DASH and Zcash more centralised.
XSPEC delivers anonymous transactions through the use of ring-signatures and dual key stealth addresses but XSPEC tops the anonymity of its competitors with what is known as a native integration of Tor (see below for further information on Tor if you are unfamiliar) in the code base itself. This means that the whole of the XSPEC network is running under Tor and your real IP address will be hidden from any attacker or spy when you use the XSPEC software.
XSPEC is the ONLY activley developed and traded cryptocurrency to offer integrated Tor in addition to anonymous transactions.
We are committed to further develop the Tor integration and to further our research into way of making our transactions more private.
ZKP = Zero Knowledge proof In cryptography, is a method by which one party (the prover) can prove to another party (the verifier) that a given statement is true, without conveying any information apart from the fact that the statement is indeed true.
Spectre.cash is an Android app which will be able to act as a XSPEC node(*) and the functioning of the app can be thought of in three layers that come together to create the ability to process anonymous cash transfers. This can happen on a purely peer-to-peer basis and no server and no central database or register is needed.
We have a custom designed ‘zero-knowledge proof protocol’ that allows an instance of the app to reveal the number of successful trades it has been involved in, but without disclosing anything about those trades, and also without the possibility of the number of successful trades being falsified. Hence, once an instance of the app has been involved in some number of successful trades the trust rating on the network will increase. This will manifest for the user in the form of some value that we will set. This will be according to an algorithm that will consider a range of factors to counter any attempt to manipulate the trust rating. This allows the intermediaries who facilitate the trade to prove their trustworthiness without revealing anything about their prior trades and without revealing who they are or where they are.
Crucially, no record of the trade will remain anywhere once a trade has been completed. Any record is transient and there is no history. If you are simply a client, there will be no trace on your phone that you have ever transacted. Both a new trade request and any available intermediaries ‘announce’ anonymously through a dynamic Distributed Hash Table (DHT) that will register details of the proposed trade so that clients can find intermediaries and vice-versa. This allows the system to be totally decentralized and lets participants be totally anonymous until they mutually agree to trade within the parameters set in the app by the users. The coins will be locked in a secure escrow until the conditions of the sale has been met. This makes the system extremely resilient to any kind of ‘take down’ attempt or control by any state power. Once it’s out we don’t control it, you don’t control it, nobody does.
(*) Non-staking SPV (Simple Payment Verification) node also known as a thin node that does not keep a full copy of the Spectrecoin blockchain.
XSPEC is the most anonymous cryptocurrency on the market today. This in itself will set us apart from others and will add value. We will also aim to integrate XSPEC with OpenBazaar and will aim to integrate XSPEC with Bitsqaure decentralised exchange. This will form the backbone of the XSPEC network infrastructure.
We suggest that with the Spectre.Cash Android app we have the first real-world useful implementation of a cryptocurrency beyond just acting as medium of exchange.
People all over the globe use remittance (money transfer) services on a daily basis sending billions of dollars in value across borders and across the world. Remittance services can be official channels, like banks, Western Union or other mainstream networks. This is all well and good if you have a bank accounts and you are able to use these services. This is not the case for millions of people, in particular immigrants to western countries, and people from the Asian subcontinent and Africa. For many wishing to send money home to family and friend in less developed countries, mainstream remittance is not an option. They may be immigrants with an uncertain status and without documents, and will not have access to ‘normal’ banking services. They frequently make use of Hawala. The money transfer tradition known as Hawala has been practiced throughout centuries and is assisting millions of people every day around the globe to send money to friends and family ‘back home’. Hawala is particularly popular in areas where bank accounts are difficult to obtain or where people do not have ready access to identity documents or in territories where the authorities make it difficultfor individuals to use financial services. The Hawala practice normally involves two intermediaries who needs to know each other and who trusts each other who facilitates the transfer. This is becoming increasingly more difficult for all parties to achieve and intrusive government regulation is imposing ever more stringent checks and requirements for any kind of money transfer and isincreasingly requiring agents to require their users to produce ID documents. This project came about by the realization that cryptocurrency and mobile phones could solve the problems of many unbanked and people without ID documents who need money transfer services.
We suggest that XSPEC will increase significantly in value over the next few years as people will discover a new way to transfer cash and the need for privacy and anonymity increases as state surveillance becomes more extreme and intrusive in innocent people’s lives.
A unique feature of XSPEC was a totally Private and Anonymous Distribution. With a Tor integration and our ‘no personal information’ policy the whole of the distribution occurued anonymously and all transactions are protected from the outset.
We have an aim of creating the most private and anonymous cryptocurrency on the market, but also one that is useful and that has the ability to incorporate new features and functions.
We are a small but dedicated team and we will work for your privacy and will keep up to date with the latest developments to bring you the best and most useful cryptocurrency in the market.
We have a different philosophy then our predecessor and our main aim and ambition is towards privacy and anonymity and not towards adding yet another so called “dark market” to our wallet. We rather believe that we will be able to work with OpenBazaar and by time be adopted by existing market infrastructure. There is no point in re-inventing the wheel. We will rather spend our time perfecting our privacy technology and leave the market technology to others. We can then join forces.
I envisage XSPEC as being able to provide the best anonymity and privacy and to be useful both as a medium of exchange and as a settlement currency for an anonymous cash transfer / trade app for mobile platforms.
In our first few days we reached a marketcap of over $1 million:
